The Bedspresso
Everybody knows there's nothing better than coffee, and even better, coffee early in the morning. It gets everybody going, out of their house, and ready to take on the day. Despite this, when analyzing the user task for this morning ritual, there were a lot of things that could be optimized to make having a morning cup of coffee, the easiest part of the day.

What is it you experience every day when you wake up?
Problem
Is it the sweet song of birds as they greet the new day?
Is it the tender kiss of the morning sun on your cheeks?
Is it the gentle caress of a morning cool breeze?
For Most People it is This...
The overwhelming sound of their alarm going off... Sometimes even multiple times
Loud Morning Alarms Can Shape Our Daily Reality As They Can:
Activate the sympathetic nervous system
This triggers the body’s natural fight or flight response with the release of cortisol: a hormone that temporarily elevates the heart rate and blood pressure. Pressing snooze then puts your body through this stressful experience multiple times and leaves you feeling worse than just waking up directly.
Abruptly Disrupt Natural Sleeping Cycles
Which can lead to sleep inertia where people feel tired, disoriented, and groggy. Loud alarms can lead to individuals bypassing the natural brain response to feeling alert and lead to an out of balance brain chemistry that makes it hard to feel fully awake.
